Michael proved to have many strengths as a music/band teacher. Chief among them was his rapport with students. Michael is very likable, and he worked hard to accommodate the needs of his students and build relationships with them. Michael is also a fantastic musician who can play multiple instruments to a master's level. Students enjoyed Michael playing the electric guitar with them and demonstrating other instruments to witness the full potential of musical talent. Michael also proved to be a very dependable and diligent staff member. He wanted to do well and put in much time making lesson plans with various instruments for his various levels of K-6th students. The consensus among out is that students enjoyed their music classes more this year with our previous music teacher.

My name is Sarah Foster, and I’m the Office Manager at Farmington View Elementary School. Michael has brought a lot of enthusiasm into our music classes. The kids love him and how current he is in today’s culture. He’s willing to take on a challenge and has shown that by teaching all students how to play various instruments. As a student of mine, I admired his passion and dedication to music, and also his friends in the band program. He was always the student that made sure that all students were “taken care of,” regarding giving them rides home from late-night band events, or giving them a ride to zero period. What I love about his character is that he is selfless and others-minded. He always puts other first.
